This project was called the Literary Rap Throwdown project. In this project, we got into groups of 2 and chose a book to read. While reading the book, we took notes about he story, characters, morals, etc. and we used that to write a book review. One person looked for the positives of the book and one looked for the negatives and based the book review off of that. D'lano and I read Hyperion by Dan Simmons. After all of that, we were randomly paired up with another book group and told to work with the opposite expression (positive with negative and vise versa) to create a rap battle. After we found a beat and made the rap (the beat was found using Creative Commons), we were each assigned a role. D'lano and I were rappers, Mia was the Art Director and Hillary was the Executive Producer. D'lano was Pi and I was The Shrike. We spent a couple weeks making the costumes and recording (the Shrike costume kept falling apart so it took longer than expected), We finished filming. We added the backgrounds and above is the finished product. Enjoy.
